What’s involved

01

Class work

Each year you will work through classwork with pathfinders your age. At the end of the year you will be invested for that class.

02

Honours & Awards

Throughout the year pathfinders will learn about a whole range of subjects and earn badges called honours. These will be worn on their sashes.

03

Marching

As part of formal events the Pathfinder Club will march in formation. There will be regular practice to ensure this is done to a high standard.

04

Camping

Throughout the year we will undertake 4 campouts to various locations, each with a different focus and experience.

05

Hiking

At least once a year we will undertake an overnight hiking camp in a remote location. The pathfinders will learn to navigate and survive with only what they can carry.

06

Philosophy

The Pathfinder Club is a church-centered spiritual-recreational-activity program designed for young people 10 to 15 years of age. Pathfindering appeals to this age group because its program features activities that meet their needs and interests. Much of the Pathfinder Club program is built around physical action.

General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists

We take child safety very seriously. All of our leaders have current WWCC numbers. They have also completed the Adventist church’s Adsafe training program.

Adsafe is committed to being a ‘trauma-informed’ service which facilitates healing and justice pathways for both child and adult victims of sexual and physical abuse.

WWCC number is the NSW Government child safety checking system
